The Indians

Day moorage can often be full at The Indians.

The Indians are just west of Pelican Island and are notable by the red pinnacle rocks that extend above the water. The day-only moorage area is on the north side. It is often crowded with all moorings taken. Circle nearby until a boat leaves. Anchoring in this area is prohibited. The channel between The Indians and Pelican Islands is too shallow for passage.

The Indians offer some of the best snorkeling in the BVI. One can leave The Bight at sunbreak and motor over to the day moorage at The Indians. Have breakfast while moored there and spend the first half of the morning snorkeling.

Another option, if you have a capable dinghy, is to moor in The Bight and take the dinghy to The Indians only one mile away.
